Pushed. Shoved. Now Over the Edge
Pushed. Shoved. Now Over the Edge is a dramatic and thought-provoking exploration of exclusion, vulnerability, and what happens when people are pushed beyond their limits. A tightly packed crowd presses forward at the edge of a towering red cliff, sending figures tumbling toward the water below. Beneath the surface, others drift quietly, suggesting those who have already fallen—and perhaps been forgotten.
The brilliant turquoise sky and water contrast sharply with the imposing red wall, while the crowded figures create a powerful sense of pressure and instability. The words on the artwork ask the haunting question: “Who will know what happened to me?”
An original artwork by Kimm Barnes, this card uses narrative and symbolism to invite reflection on belonging, compassion, social pressure, and the human consequences of being pushed aside.
