Searching the Forest captures a quiet moment of companionship and wonder. Two figures sit together high above the forest, sharing music beneath a glowing moon while small lantern-like figures move through the landscape below, as though searching for something—or someone.
The unusual perspective, rounded treetops, and pools of light give the scene a dreamlike, storybook quality. There is a sense of mystery in the forest below, while the two friends above seem peaceful and protected in their own small world.
An original artwork by Kimm Barnes, Searching the Forest is a whimsical image about friendship, searching, imagination, and finding comfort in another person’s company.
