War on Love
Soldiers raise flaming weapons toward a sky filled with red hearts drifting gently downward by parachute. The rigid, anonymous figures below stand in sharp contrast to the warmth and vulnerability of the hearts above.
War on Love presents an impossible battle: an army attempting to destroy something that cannot be defeated by force. The descending hearts suggest that despite hostility, violence, and fear, love continues to arrive—again and again.
The painting explores conflict, intolerance, resistance, and the enduring power of love, asking whether hatred can ever truly triumph over our need for human connection.
