Journey over Sorrow Mountain
A solitary figure lies exhausted beneath a glowing sky, a gun hanging loosely from one hand, while a procession of small travelers makes its way across the figure’s back. The body itself becomes the mountain of the title—a landscape of grief that must somehow be crossed. The weapon suggests conflict, loss, or a burden carried through the journey, while the walking figures evoke endurance and the slow passage through sorrow. The painting transforms an intensely personal moment into a larger meditation on suffering, survival, and moving forward.
